Family: Dr. Ross grew up in
Western New York. He is married to his wife of 36 years, Lois, whom he met at
Houghton
College. A trained CPA Lois is now a college professor in the business department at a local Western NY college. He has two grown children; a son who is a working in California as a psychologist and a daughter who is married and living with her husband and three children in the
Philadelphia area. Dr. Ross attends an evangelical Christian church in the
Orchard
Park area where he has served on the elder board. Hobbies include reading, swimming, walking, and hanging out with his wife on the back deck (after the snow melts).
Special Interests: Although he doesn’t prescribe medication, Dr. Ross has an ongoing interest in psychopharmacology, the action of medication on the brain and body. [Dr. Ross has passed the American Psychological Association’s advanced competency exam in psychopharmacology.] In addition he enjoys evaluating child and adult problems and diagnosing and treating both child and adult Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Dr. Ross belongs to the American Psychological Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
